In alignment with Enppi’s commitment to promote healthcare awareness, the company organized a medical awareness seminar on June 16th, 2025, at its headquarters.
The seminar, titled “Herpes Zoster Awareness, Prevention and Treatment,” was held in collaboration with GSK- GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals.
This seminar comes in line with Enppi’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness in the workplace, through periodic events on disease prevention and latest medical updates.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Samah El-Bakry, Professor of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, was attended by Eng. Wael Lotfy Moustafa, Enppi’s Chairman & CEO as well as Enppi Senior Managers, personnel, and physicians, beside physicians from other Petroleum Sector affiliate companies.
The seminar addressed the definition of herpes zoster which is caused by the reactivation of the varicella zoster virus, and its symptoms, which include a painful, belt-like rash on the face or body.
Dr. Samah emphasized the cruciality of preventive vaccination, especially for those aged +50 or with a vulnerable immune system. The vaccine has been proven to significantly reduce the risk of infection and the severity of the associated pain.
Attendees were deeply concerned about the topic with active interaction during the open discussion session.
Through such events, Enppi establishes its vital role in enhancing the employees’ heathcare and safety culture and promotes preventive awareness as a key pillar of a safe and sustainable work environment.
