Cairo, , 2026: The Egyptian Food Bank (EFB), the region’s first development organization specialized in providing safe and nutritious food to the most vulnerable communities, has announced a new collaboration with Rani Juice – Egypt. The partnership aims to provide “Rani” juice within EFB’s food boxes distributed to eligible beneficiaries, in addition to offering it free of charge across selected locations of the Free-Mart Initiative.
Marking a significant step toward enhancing the diversity and quality of food items provided to beneficiaries, this new collaboration will have a positive impact on the Free-Mart initiative. Launched by EFB, the initiative enables beneficiaries to access essential food products while empowering them to select items based on their individual needs and preferences, ensuring a more dignified and improved food assistance experience.
This partnership underscores the Egyptian Food Bank’s commitment to launching initiatives and building collaborations that strengthen support for the most vulnerable groups. EFB also works with a wide range of organizations and companies to provide essential food products to the largest possible number of beneficiaries across different age groups, while ensuring the delivery of safe and nutritious food to eligible families and individuals through its various programs across multiple governorates throughout Egypt.
Mohsen Sarhan, CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank, said: “The collaboration between EFB and Rani Juice – Egypt contributes to enhancing and diversifying the food items provided by the bank, including the provision of free juice to different beneficiaries through different locations of the Free Mart initiative.”
“We are always pleased to collaborate with private sector companies that are committed to fulfilling their corporate social responsibility and addressing the essential needs of the most vulnerable groups, thereby making a tangible and positive impact on many people’s lives,” Sarhan added.
Hesham Nour El Din, Business Unit Director of Rani in Egypt and North East Africa, stated: “CSR is among our top priorities, as we are committed to developing and enriching the communities in which we operate, and contributing to meeting the essential needs of the most vulnerable groups. Our collaboration with the Egyptian Food Bank reflects our strong commitment to the community as an integral part of our vision, through which we seek to create a meaningful positive impact in people’s lives, as healthy and safe nutrition is essential for their proper growth and development.”
The Egyptian Food Bank follows an integrated strategy based on four main pillars: protection, prevention, empowerment, and enhancement. These pillars aim to meet urgent food needs, enhance food security while addressing the factors that hinder beneficiaries from accessing their basic requirements, empower beneficiaries to become self-reliant in meeting their various needs, and improve the quality of life for target groups while sustainably enhancing the efficiency of the services provided to them.
EFB operates according to an approach centered on the continuous innovation and development of its services across Egypt, with the aim of expanding the base of beneficiaries to include new categories and reaching more remote and underserved areas. The Bank is also committed to fostering effective partnerships with various stakeholders to maximize the utilization of available resources and achieve comprehensive and sustainable social development
