ABB secures major contracts totaling over EGP 200 million with Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to deploy a number of UniGear ZS1 medium-voltage switchgear across several of Cairo’s power stations

Today, ABB in Egypt signed two contracts with Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to supply and deploy UniGear ZS1 medium-voltage switchgear across multiple power stations in Cairo Governorate. The contracts, totaling over EGP 200 million ($4 million), were signed by Eng. Mona Rezk, Chairwoman, EETC, and Ahmed Hammad, Chairman, ABB in Egypt.
This strategic partnership reinforces ABB’s commitment to supporting the modernization of the country’s energy infrastructure and underscores the vital role of advanced electrical components in enabling reliable, efficient, and sustainable power distribution to the nation’s rapidly expanding urban and industrial sectors.
